Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions set out what you can expect from WGBC and what we ask you to do in return so we can deliver a professional, cost-effective service, tailored to your needs.
|Wheelie Bin Collection
Collected from the kerbside once every 4 weeks. The bin must be placed on the kerbside by 7.00am and must not have any material protruding. The bins are man-handled and must be able to be moved by our operator.
Garden Bag Collections
Collected by a WGBC Operator from your property once every 4 weeks. The bags are man-handled and must be able to be moved by our operator so please don’t overfill them in difficult positions. Also ensure that there is no material protruding past the top of the frame as this makes it difficult to remove the bag from the frame.
Organic Waste Only Please
Absolutely no bamboo, flax, dirt, rocks, household rubbish, old compost or branches bigger than 100 millimetres diameter. Bags or Bins containing any forbidden material will not be uplifted as this material cannot be composted successfully.
Minimum Period for Standard Service
A minimum of 4 standard paid collections qualifies you for a standard collection service. Cancellation before this period will result in all collections being charged at the casual rate of $30.00.
A list of collection dates is supplied so you”ll know when to expect a pick-up. Collections are usually made on the day indicated but they may be a day either side.
You may postpone your collection only if you subscribe to one of our standard services. To postpone you need to contact WGBC at least one working day prior to your next scheduled collection. If you forget to postpone and we call at your property, the full fee is payable. This applies to both garden bag and wheelie bin collections (note: 8-weekly wheelie bin customers cannot postpone collections).
Where access is denied or postponements are not notified, the full fee is payable.
You may cancel at any time. Any unused part of the pre-paid fee may be transferred but is not refundable. In the case of cancellation by the customer or by WGBC, the unit will be removed at your next regular scheduled collection date and charged at the normal rate.
You can order extra collections in addition to your scheduled collections by contacting us on or before 3pm Wednesday for a collection that week. These are charged at $20.00 per wheelie bin and $30.00 per garden bag.
If you arrange an extra collection, you cannot postpone your next regular collection.
Additional Bins or Bags
Additional bins or bags are available for delivery on your usual collection date. Contact us for delivery of same outside those dates.
The collection charge for for each additional wheelie bin or bag (in addition to your normal service charge), is $10.00 and $20.00 respectively, as long as they are collected on your regular collection day.
Lost or Damaged Bins & Bags & Frames
- Bins will be charged at $90.00 each
- Bags will be charged at $30.00 each
Our terms of payment are 14 days from date of invoice and in advance. To ensure uninterrupted collection your account must be paid on time and must be in credit at all times. Collections may not be made from accounts that are not in credit.
Please note you cannot use non-payment to postpone your collection.
Where payment is refused or, in the opinion of Waiheke Garden Bag Company, unduly delayed, the service will be cancelled and the account passed to a credit collection agency, Waiheke Garden Bag Company Ltd. reserves the right to charge a $25.00 fee for this action in addition to any fee charged by the collection agency.
